Kia ora Flynn,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the Summer Learning Journey for this summer. I am so exited that you have decided to join us on this adventure. Congratulations on completing your very first activity from the programme. We have about 80 students already participating in the programme this year. Isn't that incredible.
What a great way to kick start your journey, you have shared three really interesting facts. I learnt a lot about Aotearoa that I didn't know before reading your post. Such as, that New Zealand dairy farms make 100kg of butter for every person that lives in New Zealand. That is 400 million kilograms of butter they produce, a year. That is phenomenal. Do you know where all this butter goes? Unfortunately, most of that butter is distributed around the world. Maybe you could do some research and let me know what countries buy all this butter.
It’s awesome to see that you have included some great information about your home country. Please remember that when you find information online you must put it into your own words. Please rethink and re-word the parts of your post that are not in your own words. This will help me see that you have put a lot of thought into your activity and I can be sure that you have not copied it from the internet.
For future posts, please make sure any information you use is paraphrased (written in your own words) to make sure you receive full points for activities.
I cannot wait to see more post from you over the summer.
Kind regards,
Megan :)
Hi Flynn
ReplyDeleteI really liked the way you put the informayion on your post
Form Pao :D
My blog https://wpspaoc.blogspot.com/
Hey Pao,
DeleteIt is incredible to see you posting a comment on other Summer Learning Journey participants activities. This is a great way to connect with others who are working on the programme over the summer. The other students love receiving comments as this encourages them to keep going.
In order to receive full points for comments, the Summer Learning Journey team has put together a guideline as to what a comment should look like. We have asked that a comment is about 5-6 sentences long. For example, you could greet the person, which you have done really well. Say something specific about the persons blog post that you like, suggest something they could do better next time, ask a question, and then farewell the person.
Maybe you could try this on your next comment so that I can reward you full points.
I cannot wait to see more great comments from you.
Kindest regards,
Megan :)
