Making Maori Gods

                                                                 RANGI AND PAPA


Hi bloggers yesterday we started on making making Maori gods. First we did in our drawing books my god was named Tumatuenga (Tu) he is the god of man and war, a lot of people in our class made Tu. On mine I drew wings that had korus on them and a cool jacket. We had the choice of 'Tu  Rongo Tane Tāwhirimātea Tangaroa'. We read a myth on all of these it was called Rangi and Papa it was a really good story and a lot of people liked it. It was about all of the the children of Rangi and Papa wanting to be free so they pushed their parents apart. Rangi became the sky father and Papa became earth mother. The story was very short so it did not last long but by the time the story ended it was time to go out for fruit break and go for a run. Blog you later
